Marketing and Due Diligence Intern

American Business Capital is looking for a student who would like to gain experience in a business financial environment. Environment allows the intern exposure to all facets of the business. Although this position is not a paid position, it provides great experience and allows the intern the opportunity to learn about business operations and finance in many industries. American Business Capital is a privately capitalized commercial lending institution specializing in providing working capital to growing businesses throughout the United States. Located in southwest Austin, just a few minutes from the downtown area, ABC offers a friendly, casual atmosphere in which interns can learn about all aspects of small business lending. American Business Capital specializes in commercial accounts receivable financing, contract financing, purchase-order financing, and other types of asset-based lending.

American Business Capital has four internship positions available for Spring 2005. Interns work on a variety of projects including:

Marketing: Interns assist in creating and producing marketing materials, maintain and update our marketing databases, researching our target market through the use of NAIC and SIC codes, and send out marketing materials to prospects.

Due Diligence: Interns assist in internet research of debtor companies including credit, financial, and general company information. Interns prepare and file legal documents including online UCC filings and notices of assignment. Interns assist in compiling and analyzing information for client's permanent file.

Operations:  Interns assist in maintaining the client files.  This includes credit evaluations, phone verification and follow up of scheduled fundings, and maintaining credit limits on the files.

American Business Capital looks for interns who are interested in learning more about commercial finance, business administration, or marketing. ABC takes a special interest in mentoring our interns. Our internship program is a great way to gain valuable experience. ABC looks for interns who might desire to join us as an employee after they graduate.
